So, what is a Bicnic?
We at Fudges love taking long walks on balmy afternoons in the sunshine, exploring rural landscapes and searching out that perfect spot for a good old fashioned picnic. But let’s face it; we don’t get enough of those perfect sunny days do we?
So, being very British and keen to experience all our seasons offerings, we wrap ourselves up in woolies and wellies and continue to explore our landscape all year round in search of the perfect spot for a bicnic!
A bicnic is nothing new for us here at Fudges. It’s taking a lovely walk, packing a flask and some Fudges biscuits to enjoy in those beautiful areas you might picnic on a sunny day, but at any time of the year. Once you’ve experienced the beauty outdoors during the usual ‘stay indoor’ periods, we’re sure you’ll be hooked, like us.
What we’ve discovered though, is that at these beautiful spots around our wonderful countryside, there are very few places to just sit and stop, place your flask and biscuits and enjoy the view. So this year, we are working with AONB’s (Areas of Outstanding natural Beauty) and CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) to place a number of Fudges benches to encourage more people to ‘bicnic’. Whatever the time of year, wherever the location, it’s always good to savour life’s gorgeous ingredients with a bicnic moment.
